WinChart^® Add-Ons Information

(These are accessed via the Add-Ons menu in WinChart^® unless specified otherwise.)

 

Cyclic Limits 

This add-on allows cyclic control limits to be drawn, reflecting cyclic or seasonal changes in the data:

There is also the option to show cyclic limits taking certain trends into account. 

Box Plot 

This add-on shows a different box-and-whisker plot for each split in the control limits for a control chart. It was designed to help SPC-skeptics see the value in putting process splits in the control limits.

Square Root Chart 

This was specifically designed for NHS use. (Documentation Provided, see the WinChart^® Help menu, and select "Add-Ons Manuals Folder".)

Rare Event (Time Between Dates) 

Accessible via the File menu, Attach External Data; this attachment can calculate the time interval between consecutive dates. Showing such an additional chart to the original chart can be useful if the data points occur infrequently.

The Pareto Add-ons below are included for backward compatibility; their functionality can mainly be better implemented in The Performance Dashboard^®.

Making a Pareto Chart from Control Charts 

Accessible via the File menu, Attach External Data. This enables analysis on control charts to be performed and displayed in a Pareto chart.

Installing add-ons which are accessed via the File menu and "Attach External Data" produces a new small window in which to choose between the new options. To make the DataWizard the default as before, in WinChart^® please click on the Options menu and select Customise. Under the 'Data Access' tab, in the 'AutoLink to:' box select 'DataWizWC'.
